Dysport® and Botox®
Many of our Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale patients ask us about the differences between Dysport® and Botox®. Dysport® is similar to Botox®, but unlike Botox®, which treats wrinkles between your eyes and on your forehead, Dysport® mainly targets the muscles on your forehead. Dysport® has a wider dispersion pattern than Botox®, so you do not need as many injections, and Dysport® typically works faster than Botox®.
Why Use Dysport®?
Dysport® treatments typically take 10 to 15 minutes. You will notice some improvement two to three days after your treatment, and full results generally take one week. Dysport® treatments can be repeated, but you should wait at least three months between treatments.
